We Ripple and Vibrate
Concerning matter, we have been all wrong. What we have called matter is energy, which has been lower as to be perceptible to the sense. There is no matter. —Albert Einstein
If we are more than just matter and if we are brilliant energy beings and truly conscious—then we have amazing abilities. We are not stuck in a trap of no return as so many would have us believe. We have the ability to masterfully and humbly turn things around in terms of injustice, inequality, and economic disparities because we are not just of this world; we are a compilation of many worlds and all of life and therefore we can imagine a better more beautiful world right now.
Scientists, sages and other wise persons have been saying this for eons.
Bruce Lipton sheds further insight on the subject of matter:
Matter can simultaneously be defined as a solid (particle) and as an immaterial field (wave). Each of us is a spirit in material form.
It begs the question: What is possible with a change in perception? And the answer is: quite a lot. If we are truly light and energy interconnecting and we have this amazing capacity to use our minds and hearts to generate peace and love then it would make sense that we would be living harmoniously in a safe world. Well, I’m convinced that some people already are existing in that plane and are holding the sacredness of space for others.
So, where might we go from here? Well we could throw our hands up and let others do the work or we could dig into ourselves and see if anything from the above quotes make any sense based your experience with life. To “know thyself” is a practice in experimentation and contemplation. Over the years I’ve accumulated a number of experiences that might suggest that I’m not in charge. One adventure consisted of me placing my hands on my shins for nearly two months to heal them of stress fractures. Even the doctor was shocked when he compared x-rays. Or relocating to a new city like San Diego—without any prior knowledge—and finding a safe and affordable apartment within walking distance from my work environment.
Luck? Perhaps. But I’ve had way too many of these opportunities to not take them seriously. Could it be that the idea of living and being in the moment lies in a state of wholeness, being present to each moment, and allowing ourselves to enter into Mystery without any preconceived idea of outcomes. That might be what heals the world and what Leonard Jacobson was hinting at when he said:
. . . in presence there is no judgment.
A lot is required of us for that to happen. It requires divesting of our so-called power and investing it in others. Now, in principle we know this. We are taught as youngsters to be kind, express gratitude, and love one another. Somehow with maturity this does not always evolve into behavior that coincides with the childhood foundation.
When I consider the number of times I’ve needed to reconcile a relationship in a lapse of unconsciousness; it has usually been the result to not paying attention and not being attentive to the divinity within me. That light is intended to shine outwards regardless of circumstances and states of mind. When that doesn’t happen there is a break down in communication and divisions in society. But, I no longer believe that has to happen when we embody intentional goodness.
We are all imago Dei and the manner of living into that is the work of a lifetime. It requires fortitude and consciousness to reach out to the poor, the sick, and hurting because many times we have been wounded ourselves and we carry accumulated armor. In acknowledging that we can also let go those chains of defense that bind us to inhuman behavior.
I’m reminded of a couple of lines from one of Rainer Maria Rilke’s prayers:
I live my life in widening rings
which spread out to cover everything.
As energy beings it seems we can hardly miss touching others as one action, word, or deed has a ripple effect. At the first toss of a stone we can see the ripple, but as time passes it becomes less visible, that doesn’t mean it’s not there. It’s just not visible to the naked eye.
When all is said and done we might as well send out ripples of joy.
